Disney’s “ Freakier Friday ” stayed strong in second place with $1 million, pushing its cumulative tally to $7.8 million after three weeks. Sony’s “ Materialists ” followed at No. 3, grossing $749,131 for a running total of $3.5 million.

Rounding out the upper half of the chart, Universal’s animated sequel “ The Bad Guys 2 ” placed fourth with $691,083 for a cumulative $13.8 million, while Disney’s “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” remained a steady presence at No. 5 with $686,093, bringing its total to $29.7 million.
