Thanks to a round of golf, Roger Clemens has the president of the United States pushing for him to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

On Sunday, President Donald Trump took to social media to write that the Boston Red Sox legend “should be in the Baseball Hall of Fame, NOW!”

Clemens, who started his career with a 13-season run in Boston, was one of the most dominant and successful pitchers in MLB history. However, long-running accusations of steroid usage have marred his career and are viewed as the main reason voters have denied him entry to Cooperstown.

Clemens received 65.2% of votes in his final year on the Hall of Fame ballot in 2022 . Players need to receive 75% of votes to be inducted and are allowed only 10 years on the BBWAA ballot. However, players can be inducted late
