State House speaker Destin Hall has teed up today all six remaining House override votes on the vetoes of Gov. Josh Stein.
Whether any votes actually take place during the noon session depends on whether Hall is confident he has at least one House Democrat supporter or the absence of enough Democrats for Republicans to have at least three-fifths majority present.
Meanwhile, the start of the second extra session does not have any state 2025-26 budget legislation on either the House or Senate floor agenda. The session is set for Tuesday through Thursday. The format signals House and Senate Republicans remain at an impasse over the overall budget bill.
