Mayim Bialik broke the news that the planned reboot of her NBC sitcom was officially killed by Disney.
“It was not for lack of trying,” the actress, 49, wrote in a Substack post shared Monday. 9
Bialik, who played Blossom Ruby Russo on the show that aired from 1991 to 1995, explained that she and “Blossom” creator Don Reo began discussing rebooting the series after her time on “The Big Bang Theory” ended in 2019.
Reo wrote a “beautiful” script, Bialik recalled, but plans for the revival were put on hold when Bialik got busy starring in the Fox sitcom “Call Me Kat” and co-hosting “Jeopardy!” 9
