A Life Flight helicopter crashed in Lincoln early Tuesday morning, authorities confirmed.
According to Zach Muse, Lincoln Volunteer Fire Chief, the medical transport helicopter from Missoula was attempted to land right in the center of Lincoln off of Highway 200 when it's rotor clipped a business sign and sent the helicopter crashing into the ground.
The helicopter's crew reportedly walked away uninjured.
"There is debris everywhere," Muse said when reached by phone Tuesday. "One hundred yards in every direction."
Highway 200 is closed to both east and west bound traffic until further notice. A detour is in place.
The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. as the helicopter was responding to a four wheeler crash.
