EXCLUSIVE: Lloyd Eyre Morgan and Neil Ely’s UK queer comedy Departures has sold to Strand Releasing in the US and other key territories via London-based sales outfit Rapt Films.

The film, which world premiered at BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival earlier this year, has also sold to Films We Like (Canada), Optimale (France), Salzgeber (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). All territories are planning a theatrical release for early 2026.

A UK deal is reported to be in advanced negotiations.
