A 29-year-old man, identified as Gerson Daniel Velásquez Rodríguez, was arrested by the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC) for the alleged murder of his father, Lino Rafael Velásquez Camacaro, 69.

The incident occurred on August 22 in the Unare parish, in the El Llanito sector. According to investigations, the crime was committed at the victim's home, where Gerson Daniel took advantage of his mother's absence to start a violent argument with his father, which escalated to the latter's death. Detectives from the Crimes Coordination Unit of the Ciudad Guayana Municipal Delegation, in charge of the case, were able to identify and capture the suspect, thus bringing the investigation to a close.
