Lana Del Rey shared new details about her life in Louisiana with husband Jeremy Dufrene in an interview with W Magazine published Tuesday, saying bayou alligators don't keep her out of the water.

"I was nervous at first, but Louisiana has nicer alligators than Florida," Del Rey said. Jeremy swims with the alligators! I swim in the bayou also, and the alligators are there, but I don’t swim alone."

The singer, 40, now spends most of her time in Louisiana with Dufrene aside from trips to her adopted home of Los Angeles, a city whose iconography heavily influenced many of her dreamy songs, according to W.

Del Rey also talked about her relationship with Dufrene, an airboat tour guide who works at a facility in Des Allemands. W described him as a "calm, strong presence."
