Conan Gray and Tate McRae will make their main stage debuts at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards when the show airs live Sept. 7 on CBS from the UBS Arena in New York. They join newly-announced performers Jelly Roll , Doja Cat , and Post Malone .

Gray will perform “Vodka Cranberry” from his recently released fourth studio album Wishbone for his first appearance on the show since 2022, when he performed “Disaster” and “Memories” on the Extended Play stage.

McRae’s choreography-forward performance style is what the VMAs are all about, or used to be, at least.
