On Wednesday, the 32nd annual Friends for Palliative Care Golf Tournament will be taking place to raise money for out-of-hospital palliative care for terminally-ill patients in the community. Article content

“The money raised at this tournament goes to the outreach services, which help patients in their homes stay home, so they don’t have to spend their last days in the hospital,” said Jim Cooper, co-chairman of the tournament with Dave Publow. “It’s to cover all the medical staff that come into your home to help you. The budget for that is about $900,000 a year.”
