MONUMENT, Colo. (KKTV) - County Line Road is closed starting Tuesday due to extensive rains damaging a pipe running underneath the roadway.
El Paso County announced the closure just after 9 Tuesday morning and said it could last up to three days. The closure is east of I-25 between Doewood Drive and Monument Hill Road.
“Rains over the past week caused an immediate need for repair of an existing pipe running under County Line Road. While the roadway is closed, the pipe will be replaced, and the slopes will be repaired,” the county said.
Drivers should use the following detour:
If you are heading east on County Line Road, you will be detoured south on Monument Hill Road to Highway 105.
If you are heading west on County Line Road, you will be detoured south on Furrow Road to Highway 105.
