Bleecker Street has teamed up with HBO Documentary Films and Universal Pictures Content Group on Musk, Alex Gibney’s upcoming documentary about the controversial billionaire, Tesla and Space X entrepreneur and former Donald Trump ally, Elon Musk.

Bleecker Street has acquired US theatrical rights and will release the film before its HBO Max debut.

Gibney continues to work on the project in light of recent developments. Musk’s tenure as head of Trump’s Department Of Government Efficiency (DOGE), in which he oversaw US government spending and slashed tens of thousands of jobs, ended amid acrimony when the former friends clashed over the US president’s economic policy.
