Fabio Paratici has agreed to return to Tottenham Hotspur, talkSPORT understands.

However, Spurs insist Paratici is currently working on a consultancy basis and suggestions he is set to return in a formal role are hypothetical at this stage.

talkSPORT understands an agreement is already in place for him to start in an official role starting no later than October 1.

talkSPORT first reported in May that Paratici was likely to make a return to Spurs , with talks ongoing.

The 53-year-old left the club after being banned from football for 30 months in January 2023, with his former side Juventus found guilty of false accounting .

But he returned to work as a consultant to the north London outfit earlier than expected after FIFA reduced his suspension.
