If your child has spare uniform left over from before the summer break (or perhaps you have some lying around that an older sibling’s outgrown), it might be worth digging it out for back-to- school week.

Figures show the average cost of school uniform for children attending primary school is just over £340. This rises to £454 for parents kitting their kids out for secondary school, according to the BBC.
