(WJW) – A popular snack item is being pulled from shelves.

The J.M. Smucker Co. issued a market withdrawal of select lots of Hostess Ding Dongs due to the potential presence of mold.

The recall listed on the Hostess website says a "mechanical issue with a piece of equipment created conditions that could support the development of mold in the product prior to the expiration date." According to the company, the issue was resolved quickly but a selection of multiple sizes of Hostess Ding Dongs products were still impacted.

Those products, listed below, have "Best By" dates ranging from August 30 to September 3, 2025.
