SPOTIFY is introducing a new messaging service to talk to mates about music.
But fans of the popular streaming app have slammed the move saying they want another long-requested feature instead.
Bosses have insisted Spotify Messages isn't meant to replace WhatsApp, Facebook and other texting apps but "complement" them.
Users of both free and premium accounts will have the ability to send one-on-one messages within the existing Spotify app.
In a bid to get people talking about music, the conversation starts when you share Spotify content with people you’ve interacted with before through Spotify.
