A 24-year-old Pennsylvania woman has pleaded guilty to the 2021 death of a woman who was kidnapped and pushed off a cliff.

Jessie Kelly, of Union City, pleaded guilty Monday to the murder of 37-year-old Mary Elizabeth Isbell in Dekalb County, according to court records.

Kelly was initially charged with capital murder but pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of murder under the condition that she provides assistance in the prosecution of her mother, Loretta Kay Carr.

The plea requires that Kelly testify against Carr truthfully during her capital murder trial, according to its text.

A multi-agency search team discovered Isbell’s remains in Little River Canyon National Preserve in late June of 2023.
