Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have announced their engagement.

The music superstar and American football player took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce their engagement after about two years of dating.

In the joint post, the Kansas City Chiefs player is pictured down on one knee in a rose-filled garden, surrounded by pink and white blooms. Additional photos showed the couple embracing, along with a close-up of Taylor's dazzling engagement ring.

The caption read, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," followed by a dynamite emoji.

The post featured audio from the singer's track So High School, which is about her romance with Travis.

Rumours that Taylor and Travis, both 35, were dating first emerged in July 2023, when the sports star revealed on his New Heights podcast that he had tried to give the Lavender Haze singer a friendship bracelet during one of her Eras Tour shows.

Speculation intensified in September that year when Taylor was spotted cheering from Travis' private suite at a Chiefs game alongside his mother, Donna Kelce.

In her Time Person of the Year cover story published in December 2023, Taylor confirmed that they were already a couple by then.

"This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell," she said at the time. "We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I'm grateful for, because we got to get to know each other."

Since then, the couple have frequently supported one another at public events, with Taylor attending 13 Chiefs games and Travis attending several of her Eras Tour concerts.

The pop star recently appeared on the New Heights podcast to announce her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl.
