SALT LAKE CITY — Property owners are being allowed to return to their homes and businesses after the Monroe Canyon Fire forced them out in mid-July.
On Monday, the Sevier County Emergency Management Facebook page posted that evacuation orders were lifted at 8 a.m. for the Bagley Ranch and Bear Valley areas.
“The forest is still closed to the general public, but property owners in the Bagley Ranch area can come into the Sheriff’s office and pick up a placard for your property,” the Facebook post said.
Sevier County officials said that the fire is winding down, but hazards left by the fire, like flooding, falling trees, and landslides, are active. They are cautioning visitors to be wary of these hazards while visiting their properties.
