The campaigns for Detroit mayoral nominees city council president Mary Sheffield and Rev. Solomon Kinloch Jr. are hosting events for supporters to hear directly from the candidates.

Sheffield’s is hosting a town hall series starting this week through the election to allow residents to engage directly with the council president, the first being Tuesday, Aug. 26. Sheffield’s campaign calls the events an “opportunity for residents to engage directly with her, ask questions, and hear her priorities.” The town halls are free to attend.

Kinloch’s campaign will be back at Cass Tech High School on Sept. 6 at 10am for an event with the pastor’s wife, Robin Kinloch, which is focused on turning out women voters. The event inclu
