GLADWIN COUNTY — A semi-truck collided with an Amish buggy Tuesday morning in Beaverton Township, leaving one person injured, according to the Gladwin County Sheriff’s Office.
Per an Aug. 26 news release, deputies were called to Beaverton Road west of South Bard Road at about 7:40 a.m. for a personal injury crash involving a 2018 International semi-truck and an Amish buggy.
Investigators said a 61-year-old Amish woman and a 17-year-old Amish male were traveling east in a buggy that was towing another unoccupied buggy when they were struck from behind by the eastbound semi. The truck was driven by a 45-year-old man from Hersey.
The woman was transported to MyMichigan Medical Center Gladwin with non-life-threatening injuries. The Amish male and the truck driver were not injured.
