An 18-year-old Yuma man is in custody after allegedly firing a gun from a residence toward a passing vehicle on Sunday morning, according to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the 600 block of South Avenue C at about 8:06 a.m. on Aug. 24 following reports of shots fired in the area.
“Upon arrival, deputies located multiple spent shell casings in the roadway and discovered damage to an occupied residence,” said Public Affairs Specialist Tania Pavlak in a statement.
The YCSO Criminal Investigation Bureau assumed the case and identified the suspected shooter as Ronnie Quijada. Investigators believe the shots were fired from a home toward a moving vehicle.
