GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The Tarlton Theatre announced Tuesday that it’s banning any creative content or works generated with artificial intelligence at its performing arts venues.

“Artists and musicians at all levels are facing plagiarism and appropriation of their creative works by artificial intelligence-based algorithms, models, systems, platforms, and other technologies without their permission,” the theatre said in a statement. “As a result, artificial intelligence is threatening human creative sector job opportunities, replacing human creators in the telling of human stories, and affecting the creative identity of our community.”
