Having spent the early part of the 2025-26 academic year visiting practices of the various sports of our area schools, I was amazed by the athletes' dedication and enthusiasm in practices, despite sometimes less-than-desirable conditions.

Whether it be watching athletes work in searing heat or adapting to a practice that was moved indoors due to inclement weather, I was impressed by what these young athletes sacrifice to play the games they love and to represent their schools. ×
