An international student in Canada says she’s struggling after a “devastating” accident left her in a dire financial situation and in need of multiple surgeries.
Binisha Koirala arrived in Canada from Nepal as an international student, excited to begin a new chapter in her life. However, just two months later, the Scarborough, Ont.-based student ended up fighting for her life.
At 8:21 p.m. on Feb. 18, 2024, Koirala found herself in a collision involving two vehicles that left her in critical condition. She was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery, where doctors had to remove 20 per cent of her liver.
