Trump Snipes at Reporter Who Asks Him if His Administration Is ‘Weaponizing Government’

President Donald Trump took an exception to a reporter asking him at Tuesday’s cabinet meeting if he was “weaponizing” the government.

The day before, Trump announced on Truth Social that he had fired Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook . In response, Cook released her own statement announcing her intentions to challenge the president’s decision . The statement claimed Trump had “no authority” to fire her.

During the Q&A portion of the cabinet meeting, CBS News correspondent Nancy Cordes asked Trump if his administration was doing the very thing he criticized in previous years.
