The wait for Yordan Alvarez’s return seems to finally be over.

On Tuesday, the Houston Astros announced that the star outfielder has been reinstated from the 60-day injured list and added to the Astros’ active roster for the first time in months.

Shortly after the reinstatement was confirmed, the team released tonight’s starting lineup, complete with Alvarez playing in left field and hitting cleanup.

Alvarez will be on the field for the first time since May 2. After going on the 10-day IL with hand inflammation, the Astros’ star slugger was diagnosed with a small muscle strain, which further MRIs determined to be a small fracture of the fourth metacarpal.

Alvarez originally aimed to return in early July, but he was shut down again after he noticed new soreness during his rehabilitation
