A community theater in Massachusetts is warning about scams involving fraudulent and overpriced tickets sold on ticket resale sites.

“We're a non-profit organization that formed in a church basement so many years ago,” said Zoe Bradford, Director of The Company Theater in Norwell. Since its start 46 years ago, the theater has grown to welcome thousands of patrons through its doors each year. Bradford says lately, some have arrived only to learn the tickets they purchased online from ticket resale sites are not real.

“For instance, we saw people who were buying tickets in row B. Well, we took out rows A and B years ago so that we could have a full orchestra space for a pit,” said Bradford.
