Wildfires have been an ongoing threat across U.S. national parks this year, with dry conditions and rising summer temperatures creating dangerous fire seasons. From the Grand Canyon to the Everglades, flames have forced closures, disrupted travel plans, and even destroyed historic buildings.
Zion National Park is no exception. Over the weekend, a wildfire spread across parts of the park, prompting temporary closures. But while the quick response from officials kept the blaze from becoming as destructive as the wildfires seen at Grand Canyon National Park earlier this summer, the park and its visitors aren't quite out of the woods just yet, as the fire continues to burn.
