Look out, Spotify: Apple Music is introducing a new tool that allows users to import playlists from other streaming platforms.
After being beta-tested in Australia and New Zealand in May 2025, the playlist importing tool is now available in the US, UK, Mexico, Canada, France, Brazil, and Germany. As reported by MacRumors , the tool can be found in a new Music settings menu called Transfer Music from Other Music Services. That’s where users can sign in to another streaming service and select items to import. Apple’s Support page has more detailed instructions, as well as an alternative method via your web browser.
This new Apple Music importing tool lands during a wave of artists leaving Spotify altogether. Deerhoof , King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard , Godspeed You! Black Emperor
