If you have the Hostess Ding Dongs in your cupboard, you’re going to want to check the “Best By” date and UPC number. The company this week issued a voluntary recall over concerns that mold could develop.

The announcement to stores that might sell the product was made by Hostess’ parent company, J.M. Smucker Company, which said it is a withdrawal of just select batches of Ding Dongs. The problem, per the announcement, began with a mechanical issue with a piece of equipment that “created conditions that could support the development of mold in the product prior to the expiration date.”

That problem was fixed promptly, the company said, so the recall is limited. No other products were affected.

The recalled Ding Dongs have the “Best if Used By” dates of August 30, August 31, September 1
