Louisville police arrested a man in connection to multiple reported break-ins at the California Community Center, Louisville Parks and Recreation spokesperson Katey Cook said in an Aug. 26 news release.

Deandre Smith-Cowherd, 20, faces counts of first-degree criminal mischief and third-degree burglary after allegedly stealing computer equipment as early as mid-July from the center , located at 1600 W. St. Catherine St., Cook said.

According to a Louisville Metro Police arrest citation, a break-in at the center was reported to police July 15. The caller reported a broken window and two missing computers, and said break-ins have "happened multiple times in the last month or so."
