LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The 'network security incident' that has hobbled and closed many state agencies, deactivating their websites and phone lines, is an active criminal investigation, the 8 News Now Investigators have learned.

A spokeswoman for Republican Governor Joe Lombardo acknowledged, in a statement late Tuesday afternoon, that the criminal investigation into the ongoing technological meltdown that began Sunday night prevents her from providing "technical details at this point."
