NEW YORK — Weeks before the new season of “Saturday Night Live” kicks off in early October, comedian Devon Walker announced his exit from the long-running NBC sketch comedy series.
After three years, the 34-year-old funnyman took to social media on Monday to address his departure in a post captioned: “me and baby broke up.”
“Me and the show did three years together, and sometimes it was really cool. Sometimes it was toxic as hell,” Walker wrote in a subsequent note titled “Wait .. did he quit or did he get fired?”
“We made the most of what it was, even amidst all of the dysfunction,” he added.
In an Instagram story, Walker also described his departure as “good news,” adding, “It was just time for me to do something different.”
