A sequel to the Netflix phenomenon KPop Demon Hunters is officially in the works!

THR is reporting that Sony Pictures and Netflix are in talks to make a sequel to the smash hit movie, which just broke the record to become the streaming service’s most popular original movie of all time .

If you didn’t know, Sony Pictures originally developed the movie for a theatrical release, but decided to sell the film to Netflix instead . Netflix paid Sony the $100 million it spent to make the movie, place a fee of $25 million.

While some may say that Sony Pictures made a bad deal by selling the movie, the studio still made a 25% profit on the film and it may not have been as big of a hit if it was released exclusively in theaters.
