Some University of Toronto students slated to live at a brand new campus residence say they are disappointed and stressed after finding out last week that the building is not yet ready for occupancy due to "last minute construction delays."
Work is still being done on Oak House, a 23-storey residence that will house more 500 undergraduate and graduate students, according to the University of Toronto. Oak House is located near Robarts Library at the corner Spadina and Sussex avenues, south of Bloor Street W. on the school's St. George campus.
Move-in dates were scheduled this past weekend, on Aug. 23 and 24 but those dates have been postponed, according to students. Some students said they had just two days' notice about the move-in delay.
