The Pocatello High School girls soccer team's bid for another state championship got off to a rocky start this past weekend. The defending Class 5A champions fell twice at home to a pair of Class 6A opponents.

The Thunder (0-2) fell 3-0 to Timberline, a state qualifier from last season, in an offensive struggle. They managed just two shots on goal from Brynlee Pool and Piper Bunderson. Keeper Mady Torngren made 15 saves in the loss.
