MANCHESTER, N.H. —

Gov. Kelly Ayotte is renominating Attorney General John Formella for another four-year term.

Formella had been in hold-over status for the past few months.

He previously served as counsel to Gov. Chris Sununu before taking over the Department of Justice in 2021.

Ayotte also announced her nomination for a seat opening on the New Hampshire Supreme Court, selecting Bryan Gould.

Gould is a longtime New Hampshire attorney with more than three decades of experience. He has served as special counsel to former Gov. Craig Benson and to the Executive Council.
