LANE COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) - The director of the Oregon Coast Military Museum in Florence is facing four counts of sex abuse, court records show.
According to documents filed in Lane County last week, 27-year-old Geoffrey Cannon was indicted on four counts of second-degree sexual abuse by a grand jury.
The alleged abuse occurred between August 1, 2024 and July 10, 2025.
In a since-deleted social media post, the museum called the arrest a “great shock,” asking the public to “withhold judgment.”
According to the museum’s website, Cannon has worked at the museum since 2015.
As part of his pre-trial release agreement, Cannon has been ordered to have not have contact with anyone under the age of 18.
Cannon is due back in court on October 15.
