Two men are facing charges after objects were thrown at the Dauphin RCMP detachment in separate incidents.

A person threw a large rock through a front window, “narrowly missing visitors and employees,” at about 12:15 p.m. Friday, police said in a news release Monday.

Police chased a suspect running from the scene and tried to stop a man on First Avenue Northeast. He allegedly raised a collapsible baton, so an officer fired a Taser at him. It failed to stop the man, who fled on foot.

The man struck the officer with the baton when they met up again on Fourth Avenue Southeast, the release said. The officer arrested the man after a brief struggle. The officer was not injured, police said.
