An Atlantic City beach bar is “likely” to relocate to another area in the off-season to settle a dispute with residents of a luxury high rise, according to one of its owners.
Steven Tabeek, an owner of Cocorico Beach Bar, said the business has reduced its operating hours this summer in an attempt to subdue complaints from the Ocean Club Condominiums. Residents there have considered the business problematic with its day-to-day operation, particularly with live entertainment and claims of illegal parking.
As the end of summer looms, the bar and city officials appear in agreement of moving the business to another area of the iconic beach, Tabeek said.
Mayor Marty Small Sr. hinted at the suggestion in May, when the bar faced criticism over plans to hold late-night events for BRT Weekend,
