A GOP lawmaker faced sharp criticism from his constituents on Tuesday, causing him to

Rep. Josh Brecheen (R-OK) held a town hall in Pryor, Oklahoma, where he attempted to defend President Donald Trump's "One Big, Beautiful Bill Act," which is the president's domestic spending budget. The bill has been widely criticized because it slashed billions in funding from social benefits like Medicaid and food stamps at a time when the cost of living is increasing.

Throughout the meeting, Brecheen faced tough questions from constituents about what he's doing to lower the cost of food or address the high cost of health care.

Several Republican lawmakers have faced testy town halls since Trump's budget was passed.

One constituent called into question Brecheen's stance on the Israel-Palestine war, which caused Brecheen to melt down.

"My support for Israel comes from a strongly held biblical belief," Brecheen said. "To imply that somebody owns me, that's not what I've proven to be as a Representative."

"You're not gonna do that!" he belted out.

Brecheen then closed the meeting by telling the audience that the same ideology that guides Hamas is going to come to America. The crowd began to groan.

"Guys, you're not going to do that. You're not going to turn this into chaos," Brecheen said. "We've been really good to each other today."
