LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
In a time of mourning, the Raywick Fire Department has found comfort in standing together.
“Some of the members have called it a dream. It hasn't felt like reality,” said Cpt. Michael Wright, Southeast Bullitt Fire Department.
They are grieving the loss of a father, first responder and friend, Lt. Brian Hatt with the Raywick Fire Department.
“Brian was always the person who answered the call, no matter the time of the day. No matter the time of the hour. He was always there. When the tones dropped, Brian would answer,” said Wright.
On Friday evening, Kentucky State Police say Hatt and another Raywick firefighter were on their way to assist the Loretto Fire Department when their tanker truck went off the side of Highway 527 (Saint Francis Raywick Road) in Marion Count
