“Alien.” It sounds like something from outer space. An invader. A threat. Not a mother fleeing war. Not a father feeding his children.

Those who say “illegal alien” claim they support “legal” immigrants. That it’s only “illegals” causing problems. Then why does ICE arrest people attending court hearings, papers in hand? Why are numerous citizens and documented immigrants harassed on the streets?
