SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A new attraction will provide an inside look into the Navy SEAL story in San Diego.

On Oct. 4, the Navy SEAL Museum San Diego (NSMSD), located near the Embarcadero at 1001 Kettner Blvd., will open to the public at 10 a.m.

The museum features educational exhibitions, retired SEAL docents, sensory interactive experiences, virtual reality environments and community engagement impact programs.

“Navy SEALs have played transformational roles in our nation’s history through clandestine operations. And due to that fact, many Americans have no idea what it takes to become a SEAL, how we came to be, what our missions entailed, and where we’re going in the future,” said Museum Executive Director Beef Drechsler.

Tickets for the museum will go on sale on Sept. 1.
