Left to fend for themselves, stray dogs cling to the hope that one day their fate will change.

Life on the streets can be unforgiving, and countless dogs end up injured, clinging to the hope that someone will care.

One stray pup, later named Shazam, felt lost and broken after a car hit him.

With every ounce of strength he had left, the brave boy pulled himself into a neighborhood and tucked into a corner. His heart heavy with sorrow, he silently wished for a kind soul to notice him and show mercy.

The Pup Finally Gets Help

Shazam didn’t move from that spot for three days. Neighbors gave him food and tried to look after him as best as they could.

One resident eventually reached out to Hope For Paws , the Los Angeles–based animal rescue, and asked them to step in.
