Patty Byrd owns Patty’s Beauty Shop in Zavalla, and for the past 50 years it’s welcomed everyone on the drive into town. Both her home and her business run on the city’s water. “To give a good shampoo you need water coming out of your faucet and you need good pressure,” Byrd said. Pressure's been down lately, of course, but she says she never missed a beat...but she's glad the pressure is back.
