ALAMOGORDO, N.M. (KRQE) – Alamogordo police arrested 22-year-old Jorge Jurado, who is accused of shooting a man in July. According to police, a 38-year-old Alamogordo man drove himself to the hospital after being shot. An investigation into the shooting led police to Jurado.
Jurado is charged with attempt to commit first-degree murder, aggravated battery, and tampering with evidence. Police said he had more than 3,000 suspected fentanyl pills, about a pound of suspected meth, and a gun when he was arrested.
Jurado is also facing federal charges, including being a felon in possession of a firearm.
