Birmingham City exited the Carabao Cup before the third round once again after losing to Port Vale on home turf.

Jaheim Headley scored the only goal of the game shortly before half-time to condemn Blues to just their third home defeat under Chris Davies.

Blues couldn’t muster up a response after the break, despite Davies using all five of his substitutes by the 76th minute, and their attention now turns to Leicester City on Friday night.
