After Willson Contreras’s heated ejection against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Jesus Luzardo followed the same path. The Phillies were up against the New York Mets in an intense game when things went south with the team.

During the fifth inning, Luzardo was pulled from the game with a heated argument with home plate umpire Willie Traynor. Luzardo was unhappy when Traynor granted a timeout to Juan Soto. Luzardo never held back and threw the pitch despite Traynor granting a timeout.

Jesus Luzardo had a bad night as he expressed frustration over borderline calls. While Phillies manager Rob Thompson came to remove Luzardo from the game, the pitcher never held back from firing at the home plate umpire.
